How to Backup Drivers?
The things you'll need:
- Enough disk space.
- Driver backup software.
PCTuneUp Free Driver Backup is a handy driver backup tool that allows you to backup all the drivers of your system and restore them if you want. It will lend you a great hand when you don't have the CD drivers that come with the computer or they are unavailable online.
Step 1. Download and Run Free Driver Backup
Click here to download PCTuneUp Free Driver Backup and install it. Double-click the icon to launch the program.
Step 2. Scan Drivers
Once the program is launched, some recommended drivers will be displayed in the window. Choose one driver and you'll see its related info like device, provider, date, version, etc. If needed, click "Scan Driver" tab to choose "Scan All Drivers" and the program will list all the drivers installed on your computer. The "Scan Driver" button at the right only scans for recommended drivers.
Tip: at the bottom, the program will show you how many drivers are found in your system.
Step 3. Select Drivers
Check the drivers you need to backup or click "Select All" to choose all the drivers.
Step 4. Backup Drivers
The program provides 3 ways to backup the drivers - "Backup Selected Drivers"/"Backup Recommended Drivers"/"Backup All Drivers" and you can choose one according to you needs. You can also press hotkey F9/F10/F11 to perform the corresponding actions. Within several seconds, the backup process will be complete. Click "Backup - Browse Backup Folder..." to directly open the folder that stores the backed-up drivers.
Tip: not familiar with drivers? Just go with "Backup recommended drivers" and it will save you much time because our program will check the most critical drivers for the system; if you insist backing up all every driver, choose "Backup all drivers".
